Erik Boers
Upon completing his studies in Philosophy and the Dutch language, Erik Boers (1960) decided to work in the area where philosophy and organisation intersect. He wished to provide structure for reflective conversation in the hectic reality of daily life. For that is his passion: conducting and facilitating interesting conversations; conversations which are relevant in an environment replete with special interests. For the past 25 years he has given form to constructive conversations with innumerable groups of professionals, individuals, management teams and boards of directors in profit and not-for-profit organisations. He is the author of numerous books and articles in this field. Recently the book ‘Publieke Bezinning: Socratische dialogen over maatschappelijke vraagstukken’ [Public Reflection: Socratic Dialogues concerning social issues] (ISVW Uitgevers, 2016), which he co-authored, appeared. He is currently working parttime on a thesis for the Radboud University Nijmegen in which he is looking into the possibility of discussing values inside organisations.
